There are many different ways that you help sea turtles and support Sea Turtle Recovery. Review the information below to find the opportunities that you can help with!
Nonprofits have expenses just like any other small business. Financial support provides the greatest opportunity to distribute your support across all aspects of Sea Turtle Recovery’s Mission.
Choose from shared adoptions or full sponsorships with naming opportunities. Sponsorship help pay for rehab expenses for STR’s patients including food and medications.
Sometimes you want to buy something specific to help out. Check out our Wishlist of items that will help STR. Remember, if shopping online, to shop through Amazon Smile or Goodshop to send a few extra dollars our way!
Doing your own fundraiser for Sea Turtle Recovery can be a great way to get the family or community involved while spreading the word. There are some legal rules, so please contact us first for more details to make sure Uncle Sam doesn’t come knocking on your door.
There are several ways to jump in and get your hands dirty! Unfortunately, our permits restrict any hands on activity with our patients, but there are plenty of other ways to help. Check out our Volunteer and Internship opportunities.

TD Bank Affinity
If you’re
an existing TD Bank customer or plan on opening a new account, TD Bank will make an annual contribution to Sea Turtle Recovery based on each of your existing accounts through their Affinity Membership Program.
By joining the Affinity Program, STR will receive an annual contribution from TD Bank simply because you bank there!

SPONSORSHIPS
Choose from shared sponsorships or full sponsorships with naming opportunities. Sponsorships are the ultimate way to make a difference for a sick or injured sea turtle. With all seven species of sea turtle’s on the endangered or threatened list, it is up to you to ensure their future. Sponsorships help pay for rehab expenses for STR’s patients including food, medicine, water quality, blood work, x-rays, surgeries, and other care. Please help today!
$30 Adoptions
(Shared Sponsorship)
[*Adoptions are a sponsorship only, and each sea turtle may have multiple adopters due to rehabilitation costs and efforts.*]
Some sea turtles are now available for adoption (Please note these are sick and injured animals and their health until release cannot be guaranteed.) Your support will help with general sea turtle care including food, medication, vet supplies, etc. Donate $30 and we will send you a thank you packet containing an adoption certificate with a short description of your turtle and a 3 in x 4 in photo magnet of the turtle you sponsor. If applicable, we will email you a photo of your adopted turtle after it is released. Current adoptable turtles have an adoption button below them.

Kemp's Ridley
Full Sponsorship
Your family/company will have the opportunity to name one Kemp’s Ridley sea turtle pending availability. If a business, the business will appear on the Partnerships page of our website for one year, a Facebook post will announce the name of the sea turtle and your help. You will receive a certificate of sponsorship and a photo of your sea turtle.
Note: The Sea Turtle Recovery will choose the sea turtle for your group or business but cannot predict a date when sea turtles will be brought to STR for care. Offensive or inappropriate names will not be allowed as determined by Sea Turtle Recovery. These sea turtles are being treated for critical illnesses and the outcome of the turtle is not guaranteed.
Green/Loggerhead
Full Sponsorship
Your family/company will have the opportunity to name one Kemp’s Ridley, Loggerhead, or Green sea turtle pending availability. If a business, the business will appear on the Partnerships page of our website for one year, a Facebook post will announce the name of the sea turtle and your help. You will receive a certificate of sponsorship and a photo of your sea turtle.
